Stress Awareness Month aims to highlight and provide awareness about stress, factors that can contribute to stress how we can show our support to help combat stress in the workplace.
The Health and Safety Executive’s (HSE) Working Minds Campaign is calling for a focus on mental health during Stress Awareness Month and with the Lighthouse Charity reporting that 70% of Construction Workers feel stressed, its an extremely important subject for the industry.
At Fortis Vision our Mental Health First Aiders are on hand to provide support and signpost to guidance should it ever be needed. We are registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme, that aims to improve the standards of the construction industry including employee welfare, and promote mental health awareness and impacts of stress via training, best practice and tool box talks.
Anthony Todd, Operations Director at Fortis Vision said “We whole heartedly support Stress Awareness Month as the impact of stress and poor mental health can be devastating. We should all encourage each other to talk openly and honestly about our mental health and reach out to the organisations that are there to help should you ever need to”

There are various charities that you can reach out to including
Lighthouse, Mind and Samaritans
