Cathedral Park Roof – Bristol

Perhaps one of our most aesthetically pleasing projects, Fortis Vision completed work to replace skylight windows including upgrades to Automatic Opening Vents at Cathedral Park, Bristol.

The student accommodation building, owned and managed by Unite Students, is a stunning Grade II listed converted Cathedral, located close to the University of Bristol’s main campus.

The £1.7m project was completed over 10 months and involved a complex full building scaffold design including the installation of a Haki temporary roof system in order to facilitate the work.

Joel Phillips, Construction Manager at Fortis Vision said “The work to Cathedral Park rooftop demonstrated the huge capabilities of Fortis Vision. From working alongside planning and heritage departments, to the often-complex challenges that accompany working with a Grade II listed building. Along with these, and the added intricacies of managing crane operations, the team overcame these challenges effectively to ensure the work was carried out to a high standard, on time and within budget.
