A Considerate Constructor Office Monitoring visit was recently carried out at Newton Aycliffe and we are pleased to announce that we received the top marks possible – a fantastic achievement.
The Considerate Constructors Scheme is an independently managed, not-for-profit organisation that works side-by-side with the construction industry and the public to raise standards and build trust in construction.
As members of the Considerate Constructor scheme, Fortis Vision are committed to observing and implementing the Code of Considerate Practice.

What is the Code of Considerate Practice?
The Code of Considerate Practice embodies the high standards the industry can and should achieve. The clear, attainable guidelines in the Code exist to help constructors make positive changes to the way they work and to operate more responsibly and respectfully.
It focuses on three key sections: respecting the community, caring for the environment, and valuing the workforce — essential and key areas required to effectively raise standards within the industry and build trust with the public.
Respect the Community – Constructors must manage their impact on their neighbours and the public to support a positive experience.
Care for the Environment – Constructors must minimise their impact and enhance the natural environment.
Value the Workforce – Constructors must create a supportive, inclusive and heathy workplace.

Fortis Vision’s Managing Director, Nikki Todd, said
“I am extremely proud of the entire team for their work to achieve the highest possible marks during the Considerate Constructor site monitoring visit. This report verifies and highlights our commitment to the Code of Considerate Practice including valuing our workforce, respecting the community and caring for the environment”
