Fortis Vision Awarded Building a Safer Future Champion Status

Fortis Vision, the nationwide full-service refurbishment contractor, has become the latest company to be awarded Building a Safer Future Champion status.

Building a Safer Future (BSF) is a non-profit organisation committed to raising standards in building safety and supporting required culture change in the built environment industry. Established following The Grenfell Tower tragedy, BSF and the charter that underpins it, is a practical approach that supports the construction industry to develop the necessary leadership and culture to put people’s safety first in relation to the design, build, and maintenance of the built environment.

Fortis Vision, based in County Durham, Essex, Bristol and Bedfordshire has become the most recent organisation to be awarded Building a Safer Future Champion status following an assessment that supports organisations with practical tools to improve and advance their leadership and culture in relation to building safety.

Nikki Todd, Managing Director at Fortis Vision said “Having successfully completed both of the two Champion assessment modules, we are extremely proud to have been awarded BSF champion status signalling our full commitment to embedding building safety through our processes”

“The BSF Champion accreditation is detailed and rigorous, it has allowed us to look inward at our policies and procedures, put them under stringent scrutiny, learn, adapt and to gain full external validation. I would like to thank and congratulate the Fortis Vision team for their dedication and work to reach Champion status and in leading the way in driving building safety culture change within our industry”

Steve Elliott, Non-Executive Chair of Building a Safer Future, commented “I am delighted to congratulate Fortis Vision on their new BSF Champion status. I applaud their accomplishment in completing the assessment, and highly encourage other organisations working in the built environment sector to follow their lead and apply for the process.”
