Fortis Vision completed a sensitive in-occupation refurbishment of all amenity spaces in a 52 bedroom care home for Barchester Healthcare.
The scope of works included full fit-out and redecoration of 2 lounge rooms, 2 dining rooms, 2 café areas, new office spaces and the creation of 2 new en-suite bedroom conversions. Assisted bathrooms and shower rooms were fit-out and a full fit-out of the hairdressing salon and corridors.
The team executed the project seamlessly whilst gaining the gratitude of the home staff. The works resulted in an inspiring and empowering home for the residents and a supportive environment for the staff.
The project was recognised for its high quality, sensitivity and exemplary H&S by senior management at handover, testament to the dedication and professionalism of the entire Fortis Vision team.

Challenges we overcame
Fortis Vision worked sensitively to ensure that residents and staff alike had minimal disruption, ensuring that no noisy work took place before 9am, safe to occupy checks were carried out prior to handover each evening and appropriate segregation to ensure that residents and staff could continue to enjoy their home environment whilst the project was ongoing
The completed works resulted in a total transformation of the care home, enhancing the home for residents and for staff.
