Fortis Vision have completed extensive in-occupation works at a purpose-built student accommodation building in Egham, Surrey.
Fortis Vision completed extensive in-occupation refurbishment works at the student accommodation building in Surrey.
The project’s scope of works included the full refurbishment of 239 rooms, a mix of studio rooms and cluster flats complete with new flooring, fixed furniture and joinery.
Each room had improved energy efficient with a full installation of integrated LED lighting throughout and full decoration works.
In addition to this, the Fortis Vision team created new amenity spaces including a games room / lounge area – converting an existing space within the building – to create a comfortable and stylish space for students to enjoy.
Fortis Vision completed the comprehensive in-occupation works across 12 weeks to ensure that the rooms were fully refurbished to the highest standards ahead of the 2025/26 student intake.

Challenges we overcame
This project presented several challenges, as it was a live site with students occupying the building, the team worked diligently to ensure that there was minimal disruption to students for the minimal amount of time.
